Just add water, rice and any kind of meat. For a gumbo taste, prepare with chicken, sausage, or shrimp and add a can of okra and tomatoes. Great to use leftover beef in also.
Directions: Combine soup mix with 5 cups water and ½ cup regular rice. Boil gently for 45 minutes (if using a quick-cooking rice, boil 15 minutes or until done). Add cooked or canned chicken, shrimp, or other seafood, or browned, diced, sirloin steak (approximately 13 oz.). If desired, top with pico de gallo or salsa.
